A slot machine in Casino Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan, Canada had a bug causing it to give $200 playing credits in return of $50 bills. The defective slot machine gave away almost $30,000 before one of the casino patrons had turned an employee’s attention to this fault.

Following the casino checkup, a faulty computer chip was discovered damaging the slot machine’s functioning. The governmental casino management had also decided to report to the local police about the $28,884 casino money that was taken mistakenly but not squarely, in their opinion. They must have known that there was an advantage happening here, said Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation CEO, Twyla Meredith (here and here).

One of the slots players who, seemingly, took advantage of this faulty machine and now is being investigated by the Moose Jaw police is Pawel Kusznirewicz of Wasaga Beach. Mr. Kusznirewicz and his wife Halina were documented by the casino surveillance cameras playing the slot machine at the time it was malfunctioning.

Coincidentally, it is second time Mr. Kusznirewicz is being asked to give back his casino slots winning due to a damaged machine; the first time happened three years ago, at an Ontario casino, when he beat the slots and won the $4.3 million jackpot of a two-penny slot machine, but a faulty one. No charges have been laid yet in the Saskatchewan casino slots case.
